Your Key Responsibilities

Summary of The Role  The Clinical Psychologist plays a key role in delivering high-quality Autism and ADHD assessments for children, young people, and adults. This position is responsible for conducting comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessments, providing diagnostic formulations, preparing clinical reports, and supporting individuals and families throughout the assessment process. The role requires excellent clinical knowledge, strong communication skills, and a compassionate, evidence-based approach. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams and clinical leadership, the Clinical Psychologist will contribute to maintaining high clinical standards while supporting service development and continuous improvement. Role Responsibilities
  • Conducting comprehensive Autism and ADHD assessments for children, young people, and adults.
  • Completing diagnostic assessments using recognized clinical assessment tools and evidence-based practices.
  • Gathering and analyzing information from multiple sources, including interviews, observations, developmental history, psychometric assessments, and third-party reports.
  • Preparing high-quality diagnostic reports, formulations, and clinical recommendations.
  • Delivering clear, compassionate, and neuroaffirming feedback to individuals, families, and carers.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and contributing to clinical decision-making.
  • Providing clinical guidance and support to junior clinicians and assistant psychologists where appropriate.
  • Supporting clinical governance, quality assurance, safeguarding, and risk management processes.
  • Contributing to service development, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
  • Delivering training, mentoring, or clinical supervision where required.
  • Building effective relationships with referrers, schools, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with HCPC, BPS, NICE, safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection requirements.

Required Skill and Qualifications

Essential Skills, Knowledge & Experience 
  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent recognized qualification.
  • HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist.
  • Experience conducting Autism and ADHD assessments across children, young people, and adults.
  • Strong knowledge of neurodevelopmental assessment tools and diagnostic frameworks.
  • Experience producing comprehensive clinical reports and diagnostic formulations.
  • Excellent assessment, clinical reasoning, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • High level of professionalism, empathy, and commitment to evidence-based practice.
  • Desirable:
  • Experience using assessment tools such as ADOS-2, ADI-R, Conners, QB Check, ACE/ACE+, or similar.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior clinicians.
  • Experience contributing to service development, audits, or quality improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed and neuroaffirming approaches.

Work Environment 
  • General Work Hours: 1.30PM – 10.30PM (WFH) Sri Lanka Time – 45hrs/week.
  • Location: Remote WFH + Occasional Meets at our Colombo 5 office – Sri Lanka.
