Your Key Responsibilities

Summary of The Role  The Compliance Manager plays a key role in supporting regulatory, operational, and business compliance functions across its telecommunications services. This role is intended to help ensure the business remains compliant with applicable federal, state, carrier, customer, vendor, and internal requirements. The Compliance Manager will work closely with leadership, operations, billing, customer support, and outside advisors as needed.   Role Responsibilities 
  • Manage and track regulatory compliance tasks, filings, deadlines, reports, certifications, renewals, and related documentation. 
  • Maintain compliance calendars and ensure internal stakeholders are aware of upcoming due dates. 
  • Assist with FCC, state utility commission, Lifeline, telecom, carrier, customer, vendor, and internal compliance requirements. 
  • Organize, maintain, and update compliance files, records, contracts, correspondence, notices, and audit-support materials. 
  • Help prepare documentation for audits, reviews, customer requests, vendor onboarding, and regulatory inquiries. 
  • Track compliance obligations related to telecom operations, customer support, billing, consumer protection, privacy, security, and reporting. 
  • Coordinate with internal teams to collect information needed for filings, certifications, customer responses, or compliance reviews. 
  • Review processes and identify areas where documentation, controls, or procedures need to be improved. 
  • Assist with policy and procedure documentation, including internal SOPs, compliance checklists, escalation procedures, and reporting workflows. 
  • Monitor customer, vendor, and regulatory requests to ensure timely response and follow-through. 
  • Support executive leadership with special compliance projects as assigned. 
  • Maintain confidentiality of company, customer, vendor, and regulatory information. 

Required Skill and Qualifications

Essential Skills, Knowledge & Experience  
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to manage deadlines, follow up consistently, and keep multiple tasks moving. 
  • Experience with compliance, operations, administration, telecom, legal support, regulatory support, or a related field. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Comfortable working remotely and independently with limited day-to-day supervision. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and related collaboration tools. 
  • Ability to organize documents, maintain trackers, and create clear status updates. 
  • Comfortable communicating with internal teams, vendors, customers, consultants, and outside advisors. 
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally. 
Preferred Qualifications 
  • Experience in telecommunications, CLEC, ILEC, MVNO, Lifeline, broadband, VoIP, or regulated communications services. 
  • Familiarity with FCC, state utility commission, Lifeline, consumer compliance, carrier reporting, or telecom billing requirements. 
  • Experience maintaining compliance calendars, filing trackers, audit binders, or regulatory documentation. 
  • Experience working with small or fast-moving companies where responsibilities may evolve over time. 
  • Strong Excel skills, including tracking sheets, filters, formulas, and basic reporting.

Work Environment 
  • General Work Hours: Between 12.30PM – 10.30PM (WFH) Sri Lanka Time – 45hrs/week.
  • Location: Remote WFH + Occasional Meets at our Colombo 5 office – Sri Lanka.
